Lepidolite
Can I store my lepidolite in water or salt?
Lepidolite is a fragile stone, partly composed of mica, which makes it sensitive to water. Prolonged contact with humidity can cause it to crumble and alter its lamellar structure. Salt water is even more aggressive and can damage the stone irreparably. To purify it, opt for fumigation, sound purification or contact with a quartz druse.
Why does my lepidolite look different from the photos?
Lepidolite varies from pale pink to deep violet, and may contain silver highlights or translucent areas, depending on its mica composition. Each specimen is unique, and variations in hue or texture are part of its authenticity.
How can I improve the appearance of my lepidolite?
A simple dusting with a soft, dry cloth is all it takes to preserve its lustre. Avoid contact with water or chemicals. To bring out its iridescent hues, expose it to soft, indirect lighting.
Soothing and comforting, lepidolite helps reduce stress and anxiety. It promotes peace of mind and supports smooth transitions. Its stabilizing energy allows detachment from negative thoughts and encourages a serene mindset.
