Amber
How can I tell if my amber is genuine?
Natural amber is warm to the touch and becomes slightly tacky when rubbed vigorously. You can test authenticity by mixing 2 cups of water with 1/4 cup of salt - genuine amber will float in this solution while imitations sink. Our amber comes with a certificate of authenticity and has been tested to ensure it's genuine Baltic amber.
What's the best way to clean amber?
Clean your amber gently using a soft cloth slightly dampened with plain water. Avoid soap, ultrasonic cleaners, or harsh chemicals as these can damage the surface. For stubborn dirt, use a mixture of mild olive oil and water, then buff with a dry, soft cloth. Never soak amber or expose it to hot water, as this can damage its surface.
Does amber require special storage?
Store your amber pieces separately from harder gemstones to prevent scratching. Keep them in a soft pouch or lined jewelry box away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Amber can become brittle over time if exposed to extreme temperature changes, so maintain a consistent environment. Occasional conditioning with a tiny amount of olive oil can help preserve its luster.
Amber is not just a crystal – it’s ancient tree resin transformed over millions of years into a warm, golden gemstone. Our premium amber pieces showcase nature’s artistry with their rich honey to cognac colors and occasional preserved inclusions from prehistoric times.
