Pyrite
Can I store my pyrite in water or salt?
Pyrite contains iron, making it highly sensitive to water and humidity. Prolonged contact can cause oxidation and alter its metallic lustre. Salt water is even more harmful, as it accelerates corrosion. To purify your pyrite, opt for fumigation, sound purification or contact with a quartz or selenite druse.
Why does my pyrite look different from the photos?
Pyrite can have well-formed crystals or a rougher, more irregular structure, with more or less intense golden highlights. Each specimen is unique, and texture, crystal size and golden intensity vary naturally.
How can I improve the appearance of my pyrite?
Use a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and preserve its metallic shine. Avoid contact with water and store in a dry place to prevent rust formation. Exposure to warm light or LEDs will accentuate its golden sheen.
A stone of abundance and vitality, pyrite attracts prosperity and strengthens motivation. It helps overcome mental fatigue and regain dynamic energy. This stone also boosts self-confidence and organization.
