Can I keep my septarian in water or salt?

Septarian is a composite stone containing limestone and other water-sensitive minerals. Prolonged contact can weaken its structure and dull its natural brilliance. Salt water is strongly discouraged. Fumigation or sound purification are preferable.

Why is my septarian different from the photos?

How can I improve the appearance of my septarian?
