Can I store my apatite in water or salt?

Apatite can be rinsed briefly under water, but is relatively fragile and should not be immersed for too long, especially in salt water. Salt can erode its surface and reduce its natural brilliance. Prefer gentle purification, such as fumigation or exposure to moonlight. After any contact with water, carefully wipe your apatite dry.
